You nominated, we let PeerIndex rank the Twitter accounts, and now we can bring you the #bigdata100 Twitter list our judging panel will be working from to vote for the must-follow 20 big data Twitter accounts.
The #bigdata100 Twitter campaign started last month, asking you, the Big Data Republic audience, to nominate Twitter accounts that really added to the big data conversation. It's been a hectic month, with 181 total nominations (not counting the nominations that we felt weren't focused enough on big data, or served simply as an inbound marketing spambot!). This top 100 will serve as the leaping-off ground for judges (including Bill Franks, Gil Press, and Daniel Guiterrez) to select the cream of the crop, based on real content, and away from the shotgun approach, eschewing the algorithms behind PeerIndex. Keep your eyes peeled for this results in the coming weeks!
Tom H.C. Anderson
And the winner of the PeerIndex phase is...
Sneaking in as a last-minute nomination, Tom H.C. Anderson, founder and managing partner of Anderson Analytics, took the top spot. With a PeerIndex score of 75 and with recent tweets on topics such as text analytics and predictive modeling, he was clearly on-topic and social minded enough to top the list. Follow @tomhcanderson
